Times-Dispatch: Girls scholar-athlete of the month: St. Catherine’s Ali Doswell

Ali Doswell was named the Girls Scholar-Athlete of the Month by the Richmond Times-Dispatch for the month of January.

Athletic achievements:In January, Doswell averaged 15.1 points and converted 25 of 56 attempts from behind the 3-point line (44.6 percent). She averaged five assists, five rebounds and three steals. She also scored the 1,000th point of her career. She was named third-team All-Metro last year and also runs cross country and plays lacrosse.
Academic achievements: Doswell is a member of the Honorary Spanish Society, was a gold medal winner for the National Spanish Exam, received the University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb Science Award and is a member of the dean’s list. She is a peer adviser, a Gold/White leader, a member of the Spanish and math clubs, and a Battle of the Brains participant.
College plans:She will play basketball at Amherst College and major in engineering or physics.
