Nutcracker Features St. Catherine's Students

Eighteen students performing in this year's production.
The Richmond Ballet production of "The Nutcracker" is once again filled with the faces of St. Catherine's students and faculty.
This year's production, which opened last week at the Carpenter Theatre, features 18 girls from St. Catherine's, as well as five music department faculty members.
Sixth grader Mary Pace Lewis plays the key role of Clara in some of the performances. The dancers are divided into different casts as to not overwhelm the performers.
Other students involved in "The Nutcracker" are:
  • Middle Schoolers: Caitlin Biggs, Lily Blankenship, Stephanie Crouch, Emily McDermott, Madison Harris, Caroline Irwin, Rachel Young
  • Lower Schoolers: Elizabeth Craig, Mary Chandler Franko, Isabelle Gaenzle, Isabelle King, Grace Locke, Elizabeth Oelkers, Cailin Petrus, Ella Spruill, Elizabeth Woodward, Maggie Young
Faculty performing in the Orchestra for the production are: Margie Heath, Alana Carithers, Susy Yim, Molly Sharp and Bill Comita.
