Admissions Process
Our admissions process begins by building a relationship with your family and is designed to help us get to know each girl personally. Our goal is to make the application process as streamlined as possible. The Admissions Team is here to guide you through every step of the way with personalized attention, and we look forward to working with your family!

Admissions decisions are based upon entrance testing, previous and current school records, personal interviews, and availability of openings. As a convenience to our applicant families, we utilize an electronic notification and enrollment process.

We thrive on relationships and love meeting prospective students and families in person, but the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for physical distancing requires us to approach the admissions process differently this year.  While St. Catherine's is open with on-campus teaching and learning, the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff is paramount; therefore we are unable to welcome visitors to campus.  Since we can't meet in person, we are committed to meeting you virtually and assure you that we are here to partner with you.

We are now accepting applications for Fall 2021. While the application process will be different than it has been in the past, now is the perfect time to submit an application.

  • Application for Grades 5-8

    Submit an online application and non-refundable $50 fee. Once you submit an application, the Admissions Office will send you supplemental information and paperwork to complete the application process. It is best to apply in October or November 2020 for entry in Fall 2021.  The deadline to submit the application for first-round consideration is January 8, 2021.
  • Supplemental Steps & Forms

    As we learn more about your daughter, St. Catherine’s requires supplemental forms and steps as a part of the application process.

    Transcripts and Recommendation Forms:

    • Current Math Teacher Recommendation
    • Current English Teacher Recommendation
    • Administrative Recommendation
    • Current report card and transcripts for two prior years
  • Applicant Virtual Visits

    As a part of the application process, applicants are invited to join the Middle School for a Virtual Visit.  Families will be sent a link to select their date to visit.  During the visit, applicants will participate virtually in a group activity with faculty, staff and/or current St. Catherine's students. 

    Optional opportunities to virtually observe a class, attend a virtual chapel and/or participate in other virtual school-sponsored activities will be made available to applicants as the year progresses.  
  • Testing

    St. Catherine’s requires assessments as a part of the Middle School application process.

    Grade 5

    • WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-V): You’ll receive a testing form regarding this assessment. This test is administered individually administered by a licensed psychologist. 
    • Grade Level Skills Assessment: A grade level skills assessment is also a part of the admissions process. Additional details will be shared about how applicants will complete the assessment once an application is received.
    Grades 6-8
    • SSAT at Home:  A standardized assessment focused on verbal, math and reading skills. Learn more about the assessment here
  • Admissions Notifications

    Notification of admissions decisions for grades 5-8 will be made on a rolling basis beginning in February 2021 and continuing as space permits.
