Saints lose season opener to STAB

Though the Saints suffered a tough loss in the season opener, St. Catherine's experienced a really good road trip to STAB.

The Saints set goals of giving their best effort, gaining experience and having loads of fun. They accomplished all three.

Charlotte Camp gave a gutty performance on the mound despite just learning how to pitch a little more than a month ago. Sarah Hancock played well behind the plate after being thrust into the catcher's position due to an injury. And just like last season, Sarah scored the team's first run of the year.

Rachel Page, Lindsay Everhart, Katie Page, Aiza Chaudhry, Amanda Davis and Holland Bowles played their first-ever game for the Saints.

Von Chalmers, Lucy Wallace and Lucina Hawkins shook off some rust and gave great effort.

Most of the girls played several positions and didn't miss a beat.

The Saints look to improve in their next game against St. Margaret's.
