New Cum Laude Members Inducted

Sixteen Upper School students were inducted into St. Catherine's chapter of Cum Laude Society.
     St. Catherine’s celebrated academic achievement on Thursday morning as 16 new student members and one faculty member were inducted into the School’s chapter of Cum Laude Society. Dr. Carol Quillen president Davidson College, was the guest speaker for the service.
     The new inductees are seniors Yueming Chen, Anna Dykshorn, Regan Ellis, Katie Jennison, Mason Jordan, Bridget Kastelberg, Ashby Poindexter and Katie Turner.
     Juniors inducted are: Schuyler Guare, Mary Pace Lewis, Sally Mauck, Shala Munn, Cara Nunley, Vanessa Revilla, Lucy Wallace and Mary-Emily Williams.
     The students were joined by Noah Cogan, Upper School Latin teacher.
     The students join last year’s inductees from the Class of 2016: Isabelle Andrews, Joana Buck, Katie Harris, Connor Haynes, Juliana Jiranek, Aniela Macek, Belle Pace, Frances Tyler and Seeley Yoo.
     Cum Laude is made up of 382 chapters in the United States, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, France and Spain. Approximately 4,000 new student members are inducted each year.
