AP Scholars Awards Announced

St. Catherine's students earned a total of 66 AP Scholar distinctions.
St. Catherine’s students were honored recently by the College Board for their successes on AP exams.
The AP Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams. Although there is no monetary award in addition to receiving an award certificate, this achievement is acknowledged on any score report that is sent to colleges the following fall.
“St. Catherine's offers a robust AP Program, enabling students the opportunity to challenge themselves with college-level curriculum across the spectrum of humanities, social sciences, foreign languages, math, science and the arts,” Director of College Counseling Mary Jane Greene said. “Having our students earn 66 total AP Scholar designations indicates to colleges how well prepared our girls are and that they are poised for success at the collegiate level.”
The recognition is based on multiple years of testing. Each year as they test and meet certain scores they move up into different categories. For example, a National AP Scholar receives that designation based on the result of every AP they take.
