In the meet this past Saturday against Manchester, Midlothian, Godwin, Collegiate and Hermitage, the Varsity squeaked out a victory while the Junior Varsity took second place.
In the varsity competition, Libby Parrish won the 1600m run and was part of the 4x800 relay that took first place, along with Melanie Crittenden,Annabel O'Hagan, and Megan Tattersall.
Ida Farinholt won the long jump, and then high jumped 5 feet, 2 inches to tie the school record. Sasha Osipenko won the pole vault in a "jump off" going 9 feet, 9 inches. Her teammate, Lizzie Graumlich also cleared 9 feet, 9 inches. In shot put, Mia Harris and Lale Herguner took second and third with PR performances.
In the junior varsity, Connor Haynes was a double winner in the 1600 meters and high jump, and took second in the triple jump. Eryn Carlisle won the triple jump competition. Finally, Caroline Boyd, took second in the 1600 meter run.
