Hope you made it to the meet Friday night where both the varsity and jv teams were victorious once again. That puts our record for both teams at 11-0 as there are multiple teams at each meet.
Highlights for junior varsity included breaking the St. Christopher's field house record in the 4 x 200 relay with Emma Walker, Reny Horner, Eryn Carlisle and Nia Vaughan. The 4 x 400 relay team also won with Emma Ballantyne, Margaret Horsley, Erica Royal, and Hollyn Schoeffler. Eryn Carlisle won the 300 meters. Hollyn Schoeffler and Emma Ballantyne went 1,2 in the 500 meters. Connor Haynes won the high jump with a 4 foot 8 inch mark. And, many girls ran PR's, which is great to see early in the season.
Highlights for varsity included winning 4 of the 5 field events. Isabelle Hinckley won the high jump with a 5 foot, 2 inch mark, Sasha Osipenko won the pole vault at 9 feet, 6 inches; and Ida Farinholdt won the long jump at 16 feet, 10 inches. We also took 1,2,3 in the shot put with Mia Harris, Lale Herguner and Brendan Coleman, respectively.
Bri Miller won the 300 meter dash, Libby Parrish won the 500 meter dash, and the 4 x 400 relay team won with Annabel O'Hagan, Melanie Crittenden, Ryan Dotter, and Libby Parrish. We won the 4 x 800 meters relay with Annabel O'Hagan, Melanie Crittenden, Megan Tattersall, and Libby Parrish. Many other girls also performed well so we were proud of them all.
