Saints Golf Well Represented in RWGA

Julie Dayton
The Saints golf program was well represented in this year's Richmond Women's Golf Association City Championship, which is Richmond's premier women's  amateur golf tournament.  We had 4 golfers in the event.  Our assistant golf coach Joy Cimburke, and rising Junior co-captain Casey  Gaffney fought hard in the second flight but came up a little short. Tracy Moriconi was able to win the second flight with outstanding play and perseverance. Tracy was 2 up with 2 holes to play and won the 17th hole and closed the match out. This was Tracy's first year playing in the event. Tracy will take her talents to Randolph Macon in the fall to continue her golf career. Former St. Catherine's golfer Alex Wright was low medalist and runner up in the Championship flight. Alex currently attends IMG Academy in Florida.
