Anne James, a longtime piano instructor at St. Catherine's, was honored at the MTNA Conference in New York.
St. Catherine’s piano teacher Anne James was recently honored at the MTNA Conference in New York as an MTNA Foundation Fellow.  She was among four Virginia teachers chosen to receive this award.

In addition to teaching in her private studio for more than 40 years, James has taught at St. Catherine’s since 1980. She is a founding member of the Richmond Music Teachers Association and served in many roles, including President. She was named 2005 Teacher of the Year by both the RMTA and the VMTA. Anne was also the accompanist for the Richmond Symphony Chorus for 25 years.
The MTNA Foundation Fund Fellow Program supports the efforts of MTNA through donations to the MTNA Foundation Fund. To make this honor possible, both The Richmond Music Teachers Association and The Virginia Music Teachers Association contributed a total of $1,000 in her name.
