Golds Win Cheer Rally
Students gathered together for fun Gold-White competition.
The Gold team won the annual Gold-White Cheer Rally earlier today.
The Kenny Center was packed with almost 900 girls, screaming, yelling, dancing and cheering as the displayed their Gold-White pride.
The Gold and White teams competed with creative songs, dances and quizzes. The judges -- Margaret Bloor, Susan Pauls and Sherry Trainum -- selected the Gold team as the winner of the Cheer Rally.
Each student, as well as faculty and staff members, is designated either a Gold or White. This tradition dates back to 1926 and is one of the longest continuous traditions at St. Catherine's.
The teams engage in a variety of activities, including the Gold-White Cheer Rally, throughout the school year. The winning team is awarded a trophy at the end of the year.
