Saints Runners Among Best in Nation

Saints 4x400 meter relay team is ranked 23rd nationally.
The Saints 4x400 meter relay team is fast. They are smoking nearly every opponent they face on the indoor track.
In fact, they are so fast their time is ranked 23rd nationally – and that includes all schools.
The relay team, made up of Taylor Clevinger, Sarah Katz, Polly Ukrop and Laura Kerr recently finished fifth overall at the Hispanic Games held at the historic Armory Track & Field Center in New York City. Their times of 4:07.6 was less than one second off the school record.
The relay team was one of the highlights for St. Catherine’s at the national meet. Twelve athletes traveled to New York to compete in the event, which boasted thousands of athletes from public and private schools as well as elite runners.
Clevinger, who has committed to run at the University of Richmond next year, finished sixth overall in the mile (5:15.32), which ranks her in the top 10 among all runners in the state.
“It was a great trip overall, we had fun and the girls represented our school very well,” indoor track coach Jon Molz said. “I think we are all starting to believe that we can compete with any team, anywhere, on any day. Believing is a big part of all success in track and field.”
