Jennings Named Scholastic All-America
Lacy Jennings was honored by USA Swimming for academic and athletic achievements.
Junior Lacy Jennings was recently named to the Scholastic All-America team by USA Swimming.
The team is comprised of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have achieved a specific time standard in an individual event during the qualifying period.
Jennings is a member of the Saints varsity swim team and also competes for NOVA. She achieved the time standard in the 100 butterfly, the 200 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and 200 Individual medley.
“This honor means a lot to me because I am thankful to be getting recognized for all of the work that I put into both school and swimming,” Jennings said.
Jennings was an all-LIS swimmer last season as the Saints captured their fifth consecutive state titles. She was also part of a state-record setting relay team.
