Honoring Miss Jennie with Service

An all-school Day of Service was held on Wednesday in honor of founder Virginia Randolph Ellett.
Students, faculty and staff in all three divisions honored our founder, Miss Jennie, on Wednesday by spending part of the day engaged in age-appropriate service activities.
The Upper Schoolers assembled more than 1200 snack bags for local shelters and almost 500 snack bags for local school children. They also created toiletry kits and wrote notes of encouragement.
The Middle School supported two different organizations — the Ronald McDonald House and the Sacred Heart Center. The fifth and sixth graders created activity packets for the Ronald McDonald House, including notes of encouragement in each packet. The seventh and eighth graders supported Sacred Heart Center with key supplies and notes of encouragement.
The Lower School made sweet Valentine Cards for our older alumnae who might be lonely or feeling isolated especially during the pandemic.
