Auction 2018

The event was the most successful Auction in the School's history.
The Main Street Train Station in downtown Richmond was filled with energy and excitement one late October evening as St. Catherine’s hosted an Auction for the first time since 2013.
The Auction was an incredible success, more than doubling any School Auction in the past (final amounts will be available soon)from the silent auction, live auction and gifts in honor of Director of Athletics Julie Dayton. All of the proceeds from the Auction will benefit the development of the southern third of campus, including additional parking, a new turf field and eventually a new Arts and Innovation Center.
“The fellowship, food, location, and generosity made the evening truly spectacular,” Head of School Terrie Hale Scheckelhoff said.  “We have so much for which to be thankful, including the highest number of Auction tickets sold in the history of the School! Your enthusiasm was contagious and will be remembered for years to come.”
The finale of the Auction brought guests to their feet as it was announced that the new turf field will be named Julie Dayton Field. Following the announcement, Auction guests contributed an additional $68,600 to honor Dayton.
Co-chairs Jenny Lucas, Lane Hoofnagle Sanderson ’91 and Cary Williams worked for more than 18 months to plan and execute the event. Together with more than 150 volunteers, they secured corporate sponsors, procured amazing items for the live and silent auctions —  and transported guests to a magical place at the Main Street Station.
