St. Catherine's Holds College Kickoff

Sophomores and juniors attended the on-campus event.
     The  College Kickoff was held for sophomores and juniors Sunday afternoon at St. Catherine's. Students selected from a variety of topics including college selection, the application process, college athletics, arts in college and managing admissions stress. Everyone attended a session on Admission Testing 101.
     College representatives from a variety of colleges presented to the students and parents on the different topics.
     Those reps were:
  • Amy Hall, Assistant Director of Admission, Dickinson College
  • Joanna Hernandez, Assistant Dean of Admission, College of William & Mary
  • Mildred Johnson, Dean of Admission, Radford University
  • Olivia McGuckin, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, Randolph-Macon College
  • Casey Padgett, Regional Admissions Representative, University of South Carolina
  • Jean Swartz, Director of Admissions - Media Recruitment, Shenandoah University
     Other college admissions experts at the event were Matt Steiner, Senior Director, Compass Education Group and Elizabeth Krusen, founder of OneWellness (and parent to sixth grader Lilly Krusen).
