Reunion 2020 - Update 7.27.20

I am sure for many of you that summer 2020 has been different than planned, but I hope that you are able to enjoy some aspects of the season. More importantly, I hope that you and your families are safe and healthy.

In the spring, we made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone your 2020 Reunion to October 2-3, 2020. As the pandemic continues to unfold, it has become clear that a gathering on campus of alumnae from across the country is not feasible. Our first priority is to ensure that our students can come back to campus this fall for school in a healthy and safe environment. In order to provide this educational space for our girls, visitors are strictly limited until further notice. Although we considered ways to come together in other areas of the city, 6001 Grove is the heart of our St. Catherine’s connection and a Reunion elsewhere would not have been the same.

We are continuing to work on new plans to host a joint Reunion of your classes with the classes ending in 6 and 1 in 2021.  This will be an opportunity to double the fun and connect with friends from other graduating years.

In the meantime, we hope you will join us for the virtual presentation of the 2020 Distinguished Alumna and Distinguished Young Alumna awards on October 2, 2020.  We look forward to celebrating our amazing honorees, Nell Cox ’55 and Elizabeth Redford ’05.  We will follow up with the time and Zoom links in September.

Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to many other opportunities to connect with you in the future.

Reunion 2020 - Update 3.24.20

Head of School, Terrie Scheckelhoff, Debbie Dunlap '70, Director of Development and Laura Birdsey '96, Director of Alumnae Relations shared this message with all alumnae which includes the new date for Reunion: Oct 2-3, 2020.

Once we finalize details for the rescheduled October Reunion, we will be in contact in the coming weeks and months about these plans.

Reunion 2020-Update 3.17.2020

As we are all aware, people around the world are experiencing challenging and unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic. As a School, we have made the difficult decision that 2020 Reunion has been postponed to a date to be determined. We are following CDC guidelines regarding the limit of people for large gatherings. While this is disappointing to all of us at St. Catherine's, we also feel it is in the best interest of the health and welfare of all people.

First and foremost, we are deeply grateful to our Reunion Committee volunteers, and to those who registered or were planning to register for reunion. Over the next few days, we will update you with more details about reimbursement for Reunion 2020 registrations and plans for the postponed date.

To quote, our Head of School, Terrie Scheckelhoff, "Now, more than ever, it is a great time to be a Saint."  I completely agree, our community has poised us to handle these challenges and support each other. I will miss you this April, but I look forward to seeing you soon.
