A Special Check Presentation

Middle School students raised $3,248 for ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation in honor of second grader Charlotte Baxter.
The Middle Schools SOCKS organization presented a check for $3,248 to ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation earlier today.
The students raised the money by holding a Walk-A-Thon this past November in the Kenny Center. They received pledges in support of their laps completed.
The students walked in honor of Charlotte Baxter, a current second grader who has a brain tumor growing rapidly behind her right eye.  She attended the check presentation and gave the students a thank you card.
SOCKS stands for Serving Our Community Kids’ Style and is a community service group in the Middle School.
ASK is a non-profit organization which provides financial, spiritual, social and emotional support directly to more 1000 children and their families annually for the VCU health system.
