Students Return to Campus

First full day of classes started on Wednesday.

     With their backpacks strapped tightly to them and their supplies in hand, students returned to St. Catherine’s School this morning for the first full day of classes.
     St. Catherine’s begins its 120th year of educating girls with a record 907 students enrolled in junior kindergarten through 12th grade.
     While the school’s dedication to educating girls has remained intact for more than a century, the 2010-11 school year opened with some enhancements including:
•    Opening of the completely renovated Washington Hall
•    Debut of full-day kindergarten, the kindergartners and JKers enjoyed orientation today
•    Bookstore move to Brackett House
•    Near completion of the Dining Hall renovation and expansion

Lower School Director Margaret Bloor welcomes a student on Tuesday. Bloor will retire at the end of the school year following 41 years at St. Catherine's.
Students and parents made their way through the Lower School on Tuesday. Some students returned a day early to get reacquainted.
