2026 Leadership Transition

Head of School Cindy Trask has announced that the end of the 2026-2027 school year will conclude her tenure as Head of St. Catherine’s School after six years in the role. You may read Cindy’s letter to the St. Catherine’s community and an accompanying message from Lane H. Sanderson ’91, Chair of St. Catherine’s Board of Governors, here

Since becoming St. Catherine’s 12th Head of School in 2021, Ms. Trask has overseen a period of historic evolution at the school. Under her leadership, St. Catherine's implemented the Foundation & Future strategic plan, reimagined campus spaces to meet record enrollment demands and secured the largest single donation in the school’s 136-year history.

Leadership Transition and Search Process

Cindy’s generous and thoughtful 18 month timeline empowers St. Catherine’s to both conduct a comprehensive, nationwide search for St. Catherine’s 13th Head of School and benefit from an extensive transition period.

The Board of Governors has appointed Jill Davenport ’88, Vice Chair of the Board, to chair the Search Committee and has retained the international leadership consulting firm Spencer Stuart to facilitate the process.

Updates on the search process will be shared regularly with the St. Catherine’s community and added to this page.
