Sixth Graders Make Donation to VCU Massey Cancer Center
The donation was made in honor of Study Skills Teacher Cindy Beausang's husband, who died this past spring.
The sixth graders presented a check for $1200 to Dr. Khalid Matin from VCU Massey Cancer Center on Friday morning. The money was donated in honor or Dr. Con Beausang, husband of fifth Study Skills Teacher Cindy Beausang, who died last spring.
The girls raised money throughout the past school year in History Teacher Nancy Cohen's class. The girls voted unanimously to donate the money in Dr. Beausang's honor. Dr. Beausang was a beloved Physics professor and Department Chair at the University of Richmond.
