Alumnae Honored with Awards

Reunion Weekend kicked off with Alumnae Awards in Love Jennison Family Theatre in Endeavour Hall on Friday.
Helen Hamilton Horsley '83 offered advice to the Upper School students in attendance at the Alumnae Awards ceremony.
"When you are invited to come back, lend a hand, make a gift and lean in," Horsley said.
That is exactly what Horsley has done as an alumna -- she has leaned in to every imaginable role at the School. Her commitment to St. Catherine's was rewarded with the Outstanding Service Award.
Horsley was one of three alumnae honored during the Alumnae Awards in Love Jennison Family Theatre in Endeavour Hall on Friday. Barbara Tiane Mitchell-Gordon '73 was honored posthumously with the Distinguished Alumna Award and Vaughan Gallins Gilmore '03 received the Distinguished Young Alumna Award. Minerva Mitchell '78 accepted on behalf of her sister, who was one of the first two African Americans to graduate from St. Catherine's.
Tiffany Jones '06 presented the Alumnae Awards while junior Adelaide Goolsby presented the Adelaide Rawles Goolsby Flippen '30 Outstanding Service Award to Horsley.
