Releasing Butterflies

Eighth graders have studied the life cycle of Monarch butterflies.
Eighth graders have been raising Monarch caterpillars (butterflies) in Science class. They practiced measuring by tracking their growth and learning about these organisms as part of an international citizen science program. The girls are releasing the butterflies this week with the first group going this morning.
The butterflies are living in a tent on the Green before they are released. The final batch will be released later this week.
