Director of Athletics Honored
Julie Dayton received the top honor from the Longwood University Alumni Association.
Director of Athletics Julie Dayton is the recipient of the William Henry Ruffner Alumni Award at Longwood University. The award is the highest and most prestigious award bestowed by the Longwood Alumni Association.
It recognizes alumni who have achieved outstanding success and national distinction in both their personal and professional life—the embodiment of the Citizen Leader.
Dayton graduated from Longwood in 1981. She was a standout lacrosse player and hs been inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame as well as other Hall of Fames.
She will be officially honored by Longwood University at a later date.
