Come Tuesday, there will be a new woman in charge at St. Catherine’s.
Megan Williams will officially take over as athletics director following in Julie Dayton‘s footsteps, after Dayton held the position for 25 years.

“I’ll be excited to bring some things that I’ve had success with in my previous stops to St. Catherine’s,” Williams said. “We’re in a little bit of a renaissance period for women’s sports right now, and so it’s really cool to be able to guide a group of young, female athletes to wherever they want to go.”

Williams heads to Richmond after serving as the Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Rocky Hill Country Day School in Rhode Island, where she has been for seven years. She’s a Maryland native and is familiar with St. Catherine’s from when she was an assistant field hockey coach for Virginia Wesleyan.
