Upper Schoolers Honored with Arts and Writing Awards

Upper School students received a total of 60 awards.
     St. Catherine's Upper School students were recently recognized with Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.
     Senior Rosabel Zhang won seven arts awards (two Gold Keys, one Silver Key, four Honorable Mentions) and senior Katie Hogan won six writing awards (one Gold Key, four Silver Keys and one Honorable Mention. Senior Alizeh Khalid won three Gold Keys in the Arts and is a nominee for the American Visions nominee for her piece entitled “Pakistani Soil.”
     Over the past 90 years, the Awards have recognized and encouraged artists and writers such as: Sylvia Plath, Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Robert Redford, Tom Otterness, Zac Posen, among countless others.
