Middle Schoolers Win Arts and Writing Awards
Eighth graders combined for 50 writing awards.
St. Catherine's Middle School students were recently recognized with Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.
Eighth graders won an impressive 50 Scholastic Writing Awards. Seventh grader Mary Schroeder won four arts awards for her photography: one gold, one silver and two honorable mentions
Over the past 90 years, the Awards have recognized and encouraged artists and writers such as Sylvia Plath, Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Robert Redford, Tom Otterness, Zac Posen, among countless others.
