Students Travel to Grand Canyon for Leadership Training

Six Upper School students traveled to the Grand Canyon for Leadership Training earlier this summer.
Six Upper School students engaged in an incredible leadership opportunity with the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools (NCGS) earlier this summer. They traveled to the Grand Canyon for a five-day leadership retreat with girls from another NCGS school.
The students experienced one of the natural wonders of the world while gaining valuable leadership skills and confidence building. The St. Catherine’s girls represented all four grade levels: rising sophomores Chloe O'Hallaron and Willa Shannon, rising junior Colleen Apostle, rising senior Lindsay Everhart and recent graduates Schuyler Guare and Audrey Villanueva.
In addition to the leadership training, the girls experienced the Grand Canyon, including a float trip on the Colorado River, a hike on the South Kaibab Trail, a hike at Sunset Crater and a visit to Mantezuma’s Castle.
