Arts & Innovation Center Now Open

St. Catherine’s new Arts & Innovation Center is officially open! The first performances take place Feb. 3-4.

After years of planning and construction, St. Catherine’s new Arts & Innovation Center is officially open!

This beautiful new building completes the southern end of our campus and will serve as a home for many of our arts programs for decades to come.

Last Thursday, we welcomed more than 200 of our leadership donors to celebrate both the opening of the Arts & Innovation Center and the final phase of our Unleashing Creativity Campaign, which has empowered the construction of Performance Park, Dayton Field, Maple Avenue Studio, an expanded parking lot and now this amazing new facility. The Campaign also increased St. Catherine’s endowment, which will provide resources and programs for generations of future Saints.

We are thrilled to announce that the Unleashing Creativity Campaign has attracted the largest gift in St. Catherine’s history, which allowed us to break ground and continue construction through the pandemic. While this donor is currently anonymous, we hope to recognize their generosity later this Spring.

Thursday’s event also marked the dedication of the Love Jennison Family Theatre, the 550-seat performance space inside the Arts & Innovation Center. We are tremendously grateful to the Gay and Erskine Love Foundation and the Jennison family for their decades-long dedication to St. Catherine's. Their leadership, care and support of the School — particularly our Arts program — will have a lasting impact well into the future.

Our students will begin using the new facility this week, beginning with this morning’s Upper School Camp speaker. Our first large performance in the new space will be the Senior Dance Recital on February 3 and 4.
