Flowering the Cross
Middle School and Lower School celebrated Easter on the Green.
Students in Middle School and Lower School both celebrated Easter with the Flowering of the Cross during chapel on the Green. The students brought flowers from home to adorn the cross. The Flowering of the Cross reflects the power of life over death.
During the Lower School chapel, the Chaplains also performed the sprinkling of water on the girls, which is called "Asperges." It is a reminder of the cleansing water of Baptism and new life in Christ.
