Students Inducted Into Cum Laude Society

Upper School students were formally inducted in Bannard Chapel.
     Seventeen students and two faculty/staff members were inducted into the St. Catherine's chapter of the Cum Laude Society Monday evening in Bannard Chapel. Cum Laude celebrates academic achievement. 
     Dr. Harold Goldston, Upper School Chemistry teacher, delivered the remarks Monday night. He recounted his own high school and college experiences and encouraged the girls to try new things and to not fear failure. 
     Congratulations to seniors: Leighton Broaddus, Guin Buono, Annie Edmonds, Georgia Morris, Claire Norfleet, Mary Kate Richards, Charlotte Robinson, Charlotte Vaughn and Saayeh Zarei. 
     And congrats to juniors: Janie Brockenbrough, Chelsea Brown, Kayton Buerlein, Lily Caldwell, Eva Green, Caroline Mathews, Sarah Nelson and Kiki Wallace.
     Head of School Cindy Trask and Upper School History teacher Dr. Garbiela Rojas were also inducted. 
     They join last year's student inductees from the Class of 2022: Tess Delice, Parker Edmondson, Nadia Khan, Lizzie Lamb, Sallie Lumpkin, Catelin Smith, Ryleigh Vallejo, Elise Williamson and Halle Wulff.
     Cum Laude is made up of 382 chapters in the United States, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, France and Spain. Approximately 4,000 new student members are inducted each year.
