Saints Win 11th Consecutive LIS Indoor Track and Field Title

St. Catherine's will compete in the state championship meet this weekend.
     St. Catherine's won the LIS indoor track and field championship on Saturday at St. Christopher's. The Saints scored 173 points with Collegiate finishing second (130 points).
     Senior Charlotte Robinson was named LIS MVP. She won the triple jump, finished second in long jump, 55 meters and 300 meters and was a member of the winning 4x200 meter relay.
     Junior Hampton Turton was named Most Valuable Runner. She won the 300, finished third in 55 meters, won 300 and was a member of the winning 4x200 meter relay. Meet Results
     The Saints have won 11 consecutive LIS titles, 21 total titles. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the team did not compete last season. 
     The Saints compete in the VISAA state championship on Saturday.
