Project Based Learning in Kindergarten

Kindergarten students are entering the research phase of the Winter Project.
Kindergarten students are working on their Winter Project, which incorporates Project Based Learning. They started the project by learning about winter.
They have interviewed different experts about winter topics. They even interviewed Head of School Cindy Trask to ask her about her process for accessing weather on campus and how she makes her decision to close the school.
The students picked a topic related to winter such as arctic foxes, ice skating and icicles.
The girls are entering the research phase of the project. Working closely with Lower School Librarian Christy Irving, they dive deeper into their topics. The girls create a final project to showcase to parents and their fellow kindergarten students.
In the spring, they will complete a Spring Project, using the skills they gained with the Winter Project and expanding on them.
