Saints Robotics Team Awarded First Place at State Tournament

Daisy Delivery, a team of fourth graders, earned first place in Core Values for Division 1 at the VA-DC Champions Tournament.
     Daisy Delivery was awarded first place in Core Values for Division 1 at the VA-DC FIRST Lego League Champions Tournament hosted by James Madison University over the weekend!
     The fourth grade robotics team was one of three St. Catherine’s robotics teams that qualified to compete in the state tournament over the weekend. Smart Saints was the other fourth grade team and PiThons was the eighth grade team.
     On Thursday each team participated in a virtual judging session via Zoom. The teams were judged in three categories: Innovation Project, Robot Design and Core Values.
     Over the weekend, the teams participated in person in the Robot Game portion of the competition at Harrisonburg High School. The Daisy Delivery team had. Perfect run, scoring their maximum amount of points as they successfully completed and scored on all their planned missions.
