“I am deeply honored to receive the VAIS Sally Boese Award,” Baldwin said. “I accept it on behalf of my St. Catherine's colleagues, past and present, because they are the ones who have taught me, supported me, shared their expertise with me, and challenged me to be better each day.”
Baldwin is just the seventh educator to receive this award. Selected annually by a subcommittee of the VAIS Board of Directors, the award is presented to an individual who embodies the qualities and service exemplified by Dr. Sally K. Boese, the Executive Director of the Association for 24 years. She was honored during the VAIS Annual Conference held virtually this week.
“I am deeply honored to receive the VAIS Sally Boese Award," Baldwin said. "In all honesty, the rewards of working for 38 years at our school cannot be overstated," Baldwin said. "The students, the faculty, alumnae, and the Board embody the kind of core values and academic strengths that make us bold as we work together to educate girls and build an inclusive community where all people are seen and heard and celebrated.
"Our journey continues and I am blessed beyond measure to be a part of it.”
