Senior Surprise Met With a Surprise

The October senior surprise ended up with an unexpected donation to St. Stephen's.
As the senior parents were executing their October surprise for the Class of 2021, they were greeted with an unexpected surprise.
When the parents went to purchase pumpkins from Lloyd Family Farms in Rockville, Va., the owners insisted on donating the pumpkins for the students. The $400 that was set aside for the pumpkins was donated to the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Box Drive at St. Stephen’s Church in honor of the Class of 2021. This donation will help to feed almost 30 families this holiday season.
Throughout the year, the parents of the senior class surprise the girls with activities and treats. In October, they gave each senior a pumpkin to decorate along with a variety of treats.
Fourthies taught by Ashley Stout Miller '86  worked with Upper School faculty to set up the pumpkins and treats for the seniors.
