Scheckelhoff Honored

The dance studio inside of Maple Avenue Studio was named in honor of former Head of School Dr. Terrie Hale Scheckelhoff.
Dr. Terrie Hale Scheckelhoff, former Head of School, was on campus last week for the dedication of the Scheckelhoff Studio which honors her service to the School. Her official portrait was unveiled as well. She was joined by Hobie Claiborne, former Chair of the Board of Governors; Macon Hubard Clarkson '96, Chair of the Board of Governors; and Anne Kenny-Urban '83. Her portrait will hang in the Turner Hall Board Room along with portraits of all former Heads of School.
Dr. Scheckelhoff retired at the end of July following eight years at St. Catherine's and 40 years in education. She continues to work at St. Catherine's for the 2020-2021 school year in the role of a campaign consultant. The portrait was done by portrait artist Ann Kenyon, who also did the portrait of former Head of School Gussie Bannard ’73 (1989-2007).
