A Different Type of Ring Candlelight

Juniors picked up their rings in front of Bacot Hall.
With the Stay at Home order still in place in Virginia, School leaders once again got creative.
This time it was to deliver class rings to the juniors. The Class of 2021 received their rings in front of Bacot Hall earlier this week in a contactless distribution.
The girls also received a symbolic candle. The rings are usually given to the juniors by the senior class during the Ring-Candlelight Service in the chapel and Arcade.
"While we are saddened not to have been able to gather for our traditional Ring Candlelight ceremony this spring, we are very pleased we could distribute rings and a small token to each junior," said Dr. Lara Wulff, Director of Upper School.
The School hopes to hold a Ring-Candlelight Service later this year, but no set plans have been made at this time.
