Students were celebrated in the traditional service held virtually this year.
St. Catherine’s celebrated academic achievement Tuesday evening on Zoom as 18 new students were inducted into the School’s chapter of Cum Laude Society. The keynote speaker was Upper School Latin teacher and Cum Laude society faculty member Mr. Noah Cogan
The new inductees are seniors Caroline Buehler, Tess Deyerle, Anna Girerd, Laurence Innes, Diana Revilla, Eleanor Robb, Willa Shannon, Cappy Slocum and Maddie Vicars.
They join last year’s inductees from the Class of 2020: Archer Gurkin, Claire Hackney, Ellen Herrera, Chandler Kerkam, Claiborne Mathews, Virginia Nelson, Charlotte Peete and Emily Tyler. The student inductees were joined by two faculty members: Dr. Harold Goldson and Dr. Emily Wright.
Cum Laude is made up of 382 chapters in the United States, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, France and Spain. Approximately 4,000 new student members are inducted each year.
