Dr. Scheckelhoff Honored with Resolution

The Virginia Association of Independent Schools paid tribute to St. Catherine's Head of School earlier this week.
     The Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) honored Dr. Terrie Hale Scheckelhoff with a resolution celebrating her retirement. The resolution was passed during the bi-annual Heads of School Conference held at Boars Head earlier this week.
     The resolution cites Dr. Scheckelhoff’s “tireless dedication, expertise, and vision” as “an exceptional leader for St. Catherine’s School, providing unparalleled commitment as Head of School since July 2012.”
     The resolution also highlighted Dr. Scheckelhoff’s success with Girls Innovate, Faculty Fellows, Early Learners, increased enrollment, improved facilities on campus, global partnerships, cost-saving efforts and strong school security as well her leadership in rezoning the campus for current and future improvements.
     The resolution was presented by St. Christopher’s Head of School Mason Lecky to the other Heads of School in attendance.
     Dr. Terrie Hale Scheckelhoff is on the Board of Directors for VAIS, serving as the Chair of the Member Services Committee. She will retire at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. St. Catherine’s is one of the 96 independent schools in VAIS.
