Robotics Teams Finish Successful Weekend

The fifth grade Team GIRLS advanced to the state competition. 
     St. Catherine's Robotics teams excelled over the weekend in their respective First League League tournaments. Four of the five Middle School/Lower School teams competed in area tournaments.
     Team GIRLS won the first place champions award, earning a spot in next month’s state competition at JMU! The team is all fifth graders. The team is coached by Katherine Mangum and Deborah Smith.
     KCSS (KAMAVAGH City Shaping Saints) took home the CORE Values trophy for Division 1, finishing as the first alternate for the state competition. The team, made up of fifth graders, is coached by Greg Heimlich and Colby Miller.
     Team TARDIS received high marks for their Core Values challenge and Innovation Project presentation. The team, made up of sixth and seventh graders, is coached by Anthony Maslanka and Aliyah Jones.
     The fourth grade Techno-Girls ended the day with a perfect run, placing them firmly in third place. They are just the second St. Catherine’s Lower School team to achieve a perfect score in 19 years They are coached by Christy Irving, Jimmy Tullner, Sarah Wilbur and Ann Hamilton-Dixon. The final St. Catherine's team, City Saints, will compete on Saturday.
