Third Graders Participate in Robotics Expo

The robotics teams spent the school year working on their Mission: Moon projects
     St. Catherine's first-ever third grade robotics teams participated in the FLL Jr. Expo held at St. Catherine's Lower School over the region.
     The teams at the Expo showcased their  Mission: Moon projects to the judges as well as the other participants and attendees.
St. Catherine's Upper School and Middle School students worked with the younger robotics teams during the Expo to showcase different STEM-related activities.
     At the endow the event, the judges honored the St. Catherine's teams with the following awards.
     The Galaxy Girls received Simply Awesome Machine Award (they incorporated a great use of simple machines into their model design) and Outstanding Teamwork Award (for working hard on teamwork and making sure success as a team came first).
     All Girl World received Master Programmer Award (Programming extraordinaire. The team was able to successfully use WeDo 2.0 software to bring their model to life) and Cooperation Rocks Award (able to cooperate and compromise as a team to come up with an amazing poster and model).
The teams are coached by Lower School teachers Amy Adkins and Carter Warren '04.
