Times-Dispatch: St. Catherine's and St. Christopher's take LIS and Prep League meets
Hannah Ballowe won the 1,000 and contributed to victories in two relays.
St. Catherine’s and host St. Christopher’s rolled to team victories at the LIS and Prep League indoor track and field championships.
St. Catherine’s totaled 208 points, while runner-up Collegiate tallied 126.5. The Saints and Cougars combined to win every event on the girls side.
Sprinter Willa Shannon and jumper Jailah Channer claimed two individual titles apiece for the Saints, and Hannah Ballowe won the 1,000 and contributed to victories in two relays.
St. Christopher’s scored 167.5 points to beat out second-place Fork Union and third-place Collegiate.
Frank Royal won the 55-meter dash, long jump and anchored the winning effort in the 4x200-meter relay for the Saints.
