Students Join Ribbon Cutting at VMFA

St. Catherine's and St. Christopher's students will continue to volunteer in the VMFA Family Art Studios.
A group of students joined Dr. Scheckelhoff for the Ribbon Cutting of the new Children’s Teaching Gallery “Rhythm in Art” at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on Monday. The students helped throughout the day in the family art studios that also included a community art project with local artist Hamilton Glass.
The event kicked off a nine-month partnership in which students from St. Catherine's and St. Christopher's Schools will be the exclusive student volunteers at the VMFA's Open Studio Sundays, an initiative which makes the arts for accessible to children across Virginia. Open Studio Sundays at the VMFA is held on the first Sunday of each month and is free to all.
