Saints Capture Seventh Consecutive LIS Title

The Saints have won eight of the last nine league volleyball titles.
The varsity volleyball team beat Trinity Episcopal 3-0 Friday night for the School's seventh consecutive League of Independent Schools (LIS) title.
After trailing early in the first set, the Saints beat the Titans 25-20 to take a 1-0 lead. St. Catherine's won the second 25-8 and fought off a late-rallying Trinity team to win the third set 25-17.
Six Saints athletes were named to the all-LIS team: Quinn Menger, Claire Ellis, Rian Sherod, Jailah Channer, Abby Craig and Elise Williamson. Menger and Ellis were named co-Players of the Year while coach Skip Weston was named co-Coach of the Year.
The Saints enter the state tournament this week as the third-seeded team in VISAA.
