Sixth Graders Map the World
The students completed the Mapping the World Project in Geography class.
Can you map 100 countries by heart? Plus 10 capital cities, eight water bodies, five rivers, three mountain ranges and two deserts? And, don't forget your compass rose, decorations and title/key box.
St. Catherine's sixth graders completed their Mapping the World by Heart project last week, meeting all of the above guidelines and even exceeding some. During the course of the project, the girls learn how to manage time, improve organizational skills, develop grit and resiliency, understand their place in the world and discover their best learning style (as well as countless other classroom and life lessons). It is a project often cited by college-aged alumnae as both valuable and memorable.
