  • Dance Teacher (part-time)

    St. Catherine's School seeks a Part-time Dance Educator to teach creative movement in our Lower School Early Childhood Program and to teach dance performance and choreography classes in our Middle School. St. Catherine’s offers a comprehensive program to support and foster skills in the areas of creative dramatics, dance and choreography for all levels of age and ability.   • Middle School English Teacher

    St. Catherine’s School seeks a Middle School English Teacher to begin work in the 2018-2019 school year. The Middle School English curriculum addresses the development of the three main areas of classical English education: reading comprehension, composition and grammar. The grades 5-8 curriculum develops an appreciation for diverse literature and promotes discovery and expression through various formative and summative assessments.   • Middle School Music Teacher

    St. Catherine’s School seeks a full-time enthusiastic and innovative music educator to teach general music for grades 5-7 and lead the Band program in both the Lower School and Middle School. Responsibilities include creating a classroom community based on the School's core values and the Music Department’s goals, developing and implementing a general music curriculum that includes experiential learning and music-making, music history, and basic music theory concepts, and growing the band program in grades 4-8. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the St. Christopher’s band director to prepare and execute two concerts each year.   • Middle School Spanish Teacher (Part-time)

    St. Catherine's School seeks a teacher of Spanish proficient in teaching grades 5-8 for the academic year 2018-2019. The ideal candidate will be able to move the student from the Lower School Spanish program which is exploratory in nature to a more vigorous language environment in the Middle School and build fluency based on ACTFL proficiency standards.   • Upper and Middle School Math Teacher

    St. Catherine's seeks an Upper and Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. The candidate must be prepared to teach a variety of levels of mathematics courses, from Middle School Pre-Algebra through Calculus, utilizing the latest approaches in mathematics education for girls in a demanding college preparatory environment. The teacher will also serve in a support capacity for both Upper and Middle School math students, working with small groups or one-on-one. This teacher will be expected to contribute to the Math Department’s objective of being expert resources in the field of mathematics education for girls.     • College Counseling Assistant
    St. Catherine’s School seeks a College Counseling Assistant and Project Coordinator to support the Director of Upper School and the Director of College Counseling in a detailed, comprehensive program designed to educate families and guide students through the complexities of the college admission process. The Assistant will help facilitate students’ applications to college, collaborating with faculty on the required forms, trouble-shooting with university admissions offices, as well as electronic and postal mail submission of all school documents to universities in a very time-sensitive manner. Located on a 16-acre campus in the western part of the city, St. Catherine's core values include pursuing academic excellence, developing character, nurturing spiritual growth, celebrating individuals, and building community. The athletic program includes 45 teams in 15 sports with approximately 75% of students in grades 7-12 participating.
    We are looking for experienced coaches who are interested in a commitment to work within a very established program. 
     
    We are seeking coaching candidates who:
    Demonstrate strong leadership skills and effective communication skills
    Have proven head or assistant coaching experience and a record of success
    Understand and support the mission of the School
    Have the ability to work with different learning styles of students
