Exploring College Admissions

The Class of 2023 took a deep dive into college admissions today with the Junior Class Retreat & College Tour. The day started off with the Case Studies Program and ended with a college visit to nearby Randolph-Macon College.

Seven college admissions representatives from a variety of universities led the juniors in the Case Studies Program this morning. The girls represented a fictional university looking at applications for that school. They reviewed the applicants and made their decisions in small breakout groups. The juniors then gathered together to hear which of the "students" were actually accepted into the fictional school.

College admissions representatives leading the Case Studies sessions:
Adam Anderson, JMU
Meagan Donohoe, UVA
Rebecca Drewry, College of Charleston
TeCarla Moore, Old Dominion
Casey Padgett, Univesity of Delaware
Matt Willcox, University of Georgia
Amanda Wolk, Universtiy of Tennessee

Following the Case Studies, the girls traveled to Randolph-Macon College for a campus tour followed by an information session.
