What is X-Term?
X-Term is a year-long academic enrichment program in the Upper School, fully coordinated with St. Christopher’s. This experiential learning program involves students in X-Term cohorts working closely with faculty on topics, ideas, and intellectual interests not explored in the traditional school curriculum. X-Term features international trips, topic directed learning cohorts, and, for seniors, the opportunity to design and execute an independent project or internship.
 
During the early months of the year, students meet with teachers during block periods to plan their course of study, group activities, and assign task responsibilities. During the full-day and week-long portions of X-Term, students and teachers may go off campus to pursue their course of study, work on projects on campus, research, discuss, and implement the plans made earlier in the year. X-Term concludes in April with an eXpo during which students present their work to the larger community, including their parents and family.
