Brilliant Choices will continue to offer all of the greatness that the community has come to expect from the long-standing Cat’s CAP program, but now with even more offerings of fun and engrossing activities. Young Explorers provides preschoolers with opportunities to expand their natural and creative curiosities in art music, puppetry, story telling, creative movement, puzzles, games and more. Cat’s Camper’s schedule their own activities with abundant choices in art, theater, dance, music, creative writing, foreign languages, computer, sports and more.
St. Catherine's Brilliant Choices Daycamp is a co-ed summer day camp for children 3 ½ years through rising 10th graders. Classes foster creative expression through exploration and participation in the visual and performing arts. The program is complemented with courses in physical education, outdoor adventures, science, creative writing, foreign languages and more!
Young Explorers Day Camps
Young Explorers camp is designed to meet the younger child’s special interests and needs. Boys and girls, ages 3½ to rising 1st graders are divided into seven age groups and are given the opportunity to expand their natural and creative curiosities. From woodworking and storytelling to art projects and swimming, there is something for everyone.
New this year!
We expanded our Young Explorers program to now include afternoons! Designed to meet the needs of working parents and parents that enroll their children in multiple Brilliant Summer programs. The afternoon camp continues to foster creativity in a relaxed atmosphere and provides a safe and fun environment. Qualified staff members supervise the children at lunch and during afternoon experiences. Activities include outside play, creative games, story times
and art classes.
Cat's Campers Day Camps - rising 2nd through 10th graders - schedule their own day's activities. They have abundant choices from classes in visual arts, theatre, music, creative writing, language, computer, sports, and recreation. This class variety allows campers to focus on one subject or sample several.
We offer Cat's Campers classes by grade levels - rising 2nd to 3rd graders, rising 4th to 6th graders, and rising 7th to 10th graders.
The Cat's Campers' day divides into six 55-minute periods. The morning consists of 1st, 2nd and 3rd periods and the afternoon consists of 4th, 5th and 6th periods. Lunch and lunch activities separate the morning and afternoon periods. All Cat's Campers gather each Friday at the end of the day for Friday Frolics, a time for outdoor-themed events or special concerts.
